The idea of cotemporary buildings based on the natural principles of organic forms brings us back to local history, tradition and cultural roots. This concept turns us to create interior and exterior of any architecture surrounded by nature. Inspired by the marine life Javier Senosiain a Mexican architect introduced a snail-shaped dwelling. By experiencing his ideas he developed a Nautilus snail shaped house in Mexico City. It has the shape of a nautilus’ shell and all is full of color and imitates its shape. The house under went a modern renovation by the suggestion of the young couple with two children who were supposed to live in it. The model work generated numberless ideas to meet the required space and style .The entire house is transformed into a huge marine creature which makes one feel this surrounding around him......................
The tree dimensional structure allows one to move from one chamber to another with a continuous opening. Resembling to the endless sea it also has a chain of opening and thus adds interest to the architecture. The colorful house transforms dreams into reality by capturing oneself into a snail shaped house. It is a unique shell shaped house designed in very innovative, unusual and audacious way. The design emerges the aquatic life into architecture in an interesting way. The interesting feature of this huge shell is a striking entry cut into a wall of colorful stained glass. Inside it casts multi-colored spots of light onto walls.
The amazing bathroom welcomes with an under water world with blue tiles and windows overhead. It is not only beautiful but also earthquake-proof and maintenance-free. Each element of this shell formed dwelling has been carefully chosen to coincide with the organic theme of the building including the glittering shell-like paint which frames the tongue shaped furniture that grow from the surrounding walls. According to the designer: “This home’s social life flows inside The Nautilus without any division, a harmonic area in three dimensions where you can notice the continuous dynamic of the fourth dimension when moving in spiral over the stairs with a feeling of floating over the vegetation.” .
